Lanarkshire Carers Centre is the key resource for carers across Lanarkshire delivering a diverse support service including access to information and a range of direct support services. The Centre is based in Hamilton with a second base in Airdrie supplemented by Carer Support Workers operating from within locality social work teams.

Training Officer

Salary scale: £22,783 to £26,855

Lanarkshire Carers Centre is looking to employ a Training Officer. This is a full-time post (35 hours) based within our Hamilton Centre and Airdrie base working in localities across Lanarkshire.

Lanarkshire Carers Centre has been operating in Lanarkshire for 20 years. Core funding is by a tripartite agreement between NHS Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire Social Work and Housing and South Lanarkshire Social Work Resources. Our core funding contracts are due for renewal at the end of March 2017.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated individual with a proven track record in health, social care or community work and experience of co-ordinating and delivering training programmes or services, good oral, presentation and written communication skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.

Candidates will be self-motivated with the ability to develop, coordinate, administer and facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive programme of learning and training activities for carers in Lanarkshire. Experience of working across public and voluntary sectors and a proven ability to establish strong links will be crucial.
